Thousand Oaks Home Automation and Home Theater Design

Indoor, outdoor, and everything in between, working as one.

We design the light, sound, air, controls, and other technology of Thousand Oaks homes as one system, from the media room to the backyard. Our studio is in neighboring Agoura Hills, and we've worked across the Conejo Valley for nearly two decades.

Conejo Valley living, inside and out.

Warm days, cool nights, and a lot of time outdoors.

Summer afternoons push heat into west-facing rooms while evenings cool off fast. Life spills onto patios and into the yard. The 101 and the 23 carry farther than you'd think after dark. A home here should keep every room comfortable, make the outdoors as easy as the indoors, and stay quiet when it's time to rest.

Designed with a method, not a catalog.

The process and tools we developed ourselves.

UX for Spaces is the method we created to set human performance targets for each space, from the bedroom to the backyard, then design every technology layer to meet them. Particle, our acoustics software, models how a home theater will sound before it's built. Aperture, our design platform, is used by the Calm Tech Institute.

Comfort with a number on it.

Temperature, light, sound, and coverage, room by room.

We set targets for each space: steady temperature in the bedrooms through a hot spell, cinema-level sound in the media room, Wi-Fi and music that reach the far end of the yard, evening light that warms on its own. Systems are chosen to hit those numbers and checked when the work is done.

From the movie room to the fire pit.

One app, a few keypads, and no learning curve.

Movie night starts with one button. The patio lights, heaters, and music come on together. Shades follow the sun so the house stays cool. The climate runs itself, and the whole family can use it without asking how.

A plan you can see.

For new builds, remodels, and outdoor projects.

Each space gets a plain-language brief and drawings that place every speaker, screen, keypad, shade, and outdoor fixture. For existing homes, we design around what's already there. Every project ends with testing, calibration, and documentation.

Outdoor projects need early planning too.

Before the hardscape goes in.

Conduit under the patio, power for outdoor speakers and heaters, and the network to the pool house are easy to place before concrete is poured. Inside, the best time is before framing or while walls are open during a remodel.

Alongside your builder, designer, and landscape team.

The technology follows the design.

We coordinate with architects, builders, interior designers, and landscape contractors so the technology fits the house and the yard. We work throughout Thousand Oaks, including North Ranch, Lynn Ranch, Sunset Hills, and Wildwood, and in Newbury Park and Dos Vientos.

Spaces we've shaped.

In nearby Westlake, a private cinema with 54 seats across six tiered rows. Our Dolby Atmos studio in Agoura Hills, open to visit. A Camarillo private club run from one interface. Residences in Calabasas, Topanga, and Brentwood, a 25,000 square foot Bel Air estate with forty audio zones, and a Dolby Atmos creative campus in Miami.
