Pacific Palisades Home Technology Design

The decisions on your plans right now will shape how you sleep, how you think, and how your home feels.

We design the light, sound, air, controls, and other technologyof Pacific Palisades homes as one system, to human performance targets for every space. From the Riviera to Castellammare, we use a method we invented and software we built to carry it out. Then we build it and verify the result.

Your home works on you, whether it was designed to or not.

Every space sets the conditions your body lives in.

Light tells your body what time it is. Your body still reacts to noise while you sleep, even when it doesn't wake you. Stale air slows your thinking before you notice it. All of this is decided by choices already on your plans: fixtures, glass, wall assemblies, ductwork, controls. In the Palisades, that means afternoon glare off the ocean, marine air, and the sound of Sunset or PCH finding its way into a bedroom.

We didn't adopt a better process. We invented it.

The method, the software, and the standard behind this work were all created here.

UX for Spaces is our design method. It sets human performance targets for sleep, focus, comfort, and gathering in every space, then designs each technology layer to meet them. Particle, our acoustics software, models how sound will behave in a space before anything is installed. Aperture is the design platform we built, and the Calm Tech Institute adopted it.

We design to targets, not from a catalog.

How quiet, how dark, how fresh, how bright, and when.

For every space we set measurable targets: background noise in the bedroom, how the light shifts from morning to night, glare on west-facing glass, air quality where you work, sound in the cinema. Every system is chosen to meet those targets. After it's built, we measure each space against them.

You won't think about the technology.

You'll notice how the house feels.

The shades rise with the morning. In the evening the light warms across the house without anyone touching a switch. The bedroom stays quiet because the sound was stopped in the walls. Movie night is one button. The walls carry a few keypads that make sense and very little else.

You'll see exactly what you're getting before anything is built.

A brief for every space, drawings your builder builds from, and a result we measure.

Each space gets a written brief in plain language. Every keypad, speaker, shade pocket, and equipment space is located on the drawings your architect and builder work from. When construction is done, we measure each space, calibrate it, and keep caring for it.

The best time is while it's still on paper.

Easy to decide now. Hard to change after framing.

Where the equipment lives. Where the shades disappear. What keeps the cinema's sound out of the bedroom above it. On paper these are small decisions. After the walls close, every one of them becomes a compromise.

We work alongside your architect and builder.

Your design stays theirs. The technology serves it.

We carry your architect's vision into how the home sounds, holds its light, and responds, and keep the technology from getting in the way of the design you fell in love with. If you're building from an approved plan, we work within it. We work with architects and builders across the Palisades, from the Huntington and Marquez Knolls to the Alphabet Streets and Rustic Canyon.

Spaces we've shaped.

Private homes, cinemas, studios, hospitality and the places people gather.

A 25,000 square foot Bel Air estate with forty audio zones, where the whole property answers to one keypad. A private cinema in Westlake with 54 seats across six tiered rows. A creative campus in Miami, built from an empty warehouse around a Dolby Atmos studio. A private club in Camarillo that moves from breakfast service to a wedding reception, run from one interface. Residences in Brentwood, Topanga, Cheviot Hills, and Calabasas. We serve the Palisades and the Westside from our studio in Agoura Hills.

Talk through your plans.

With you, your architect, or your builder.

Tell us where your project stands and how you want to live in the home. Plans are welcome, never required.
