About Blend

Blend is a human-centered design practice for the built environment, and for the digital layer that now runs through all of it.
 

We design how a space feels, senses, and responds. Luxury residences, private cinemas, hospitality arrivals, high-performance studios, automotive galleries. And we design the software that carries the discipline forward: the tools, the frameworks, and the platforms that let a space be designed around people before a single product is chosen. Physical and digital, from the same bench, held to the same standard.
 

Most technology in the built environment is specified by product. Rooms get designed around speakers, panels, and control systems, and the people inside them are expected to adapt. We invert that sequence. UX for Spaces™, our proprietary discovery and design process, maps human biology, behavior, and experience before any hardware is named. Systems are then specified to serve what we found, not the other way around.
 

The result is automation that anticipates, acoustics that calm, light that follows the body's clock, and environments that restore rather than demand. Technology becomes an architectural layer, not a collection of devices. A space that feels right before anyone understands why.
 

This is a discipline still being written, and we're helping write it. As the first Calm Tech Certified Designer and a launch partner of the Calm Tech Institute, we help shape the standard and meet it. We built the software that certified designers use to apply it. Our own studio doubles as the laboratory where every claim we make about how a space should perform gets tested on us first, before it ever reaches a client.

We combine interior design, architectural acoustics, sensory technology, system architecture, and custom software under one process, work that's usually scattered across a half-dozen firms who never speak. We can lead a project or design alongside your architect, builder, and trades. Either way, we hold one intent across every layer, so the whole thing performs as one.
