Sixteen private acres between Malibu and Calabasas, with a 12,000 square foot residence at the center. The intent was set by the land: a home this deep in the canyon should feel continuous with it, one environment from the innermost room to the property line, never a house with an outside attached.

We designed the estate that way, as one environment. Music moves through dozens of zones across the residence and the grounds, so sound follows an afternoon from the kitchen to the pool to the far edge of the property without a seam. Light, shading, and climate work together through the day, and the whole estate is orchestrated as a single system: entertainment, rest, and everyday living flowing into each other rather than switching between modes.

The media and game room carries two lives in one space. By day it's a casual room around an 85-inch display. When it's time for a film, a concealed projection screen descends over it and the room becomes a cinema. Nothing rearranged, nothing set up, the space simply changes its mind.
